Data from the European Commission shows us that only 54% of Europeans have at least basic digital skills yet modern interactions and our ways of working rely on digital skills. Through the ADELE (Advancing Digital Empowerment of Libraries in Europe) project, we’re aiming to boost the digital readiness of public libraries by equipping them with a tool to reflect on their use of digital technologies. Our tool builds on the European Commission’s SELFIE tool for schools and targets adult education organisations offering non-formal education such as libraries to help them deepen their adult education activities and further integrate technology in their work. We’ve involved 100 public libraries across Europe to help us make this tool the best it can be!
We’re proud to invite you to the launch of the ADELE tool where you will get a firsthand look at the tool and hear from experts on the importance of digital strategies for non-formal adult education as well as relevant digital skills in adult education!
Come and join us for an interactive and informative event on 28 February in the Muntpunt Library in Brussels!
This event is a hybrid event, please confirm your attendance (in person or online) by registering but don’t wait too long as registrations close on February 20!
